Welcome to Belair. It’s charming, comfy, romantic and stylish
The views are exceptional from this small farm on the slopes of Paarl Mountain. A beautiful country space, within easy reach of Cape Town and central to the innovative wine culture of the Western Cape.
Until quite recently, Belair was a thoroughbred horse stud and home to multiple winner, Occult, the only South African bred horse to win the coveted treble: Republic Day, Durban July and Gold Cup.
Situated on the Suid Agter Paarl Road, Belair’s neighbours include several well-known wine estates: Fairview, Seidelberg, Landskroon and Ruitersvlei.
Paarl itself, about 10 minutes drive away, is a real Boland town. It has one of the prettiest oak-lined main streets, flanked by some superb examples of Early Cape architecture.
Living on Belair is La Spezia-trained chef, Guiseppe Massolini, from the Venezia region, who can create a truly authentic Italian feast for 10 people, by prior arrangement. There are numerous really good restaurants nearby.
For the energetic, there is a golf-driving range, a full scale labarynth and a boule court. You can hike or mountain bike from Belair into the Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve. Stroll up to the farm dam to watch the sun set behind Table Mountain. Dream beside the swimming pool in the garden and meditate or read in the rose garden. All surrounded by the magnificent Boland Mountains. And there are lots and lots of birds.
It’s an ideal setting for intimate weddings and special occasions.
